There's a riff on the new Grand Magus album that reminds me of 'Blood Of My Enemies' by Manowar, so it made me dig out the album and I'm currently listening to 'Hail To England' for the first time in ages. It's still great

Exploited - Death Before Dishonour - Some excellent tracks.
Mortal Sin - Mayhemic Destruction - Lebanon is awesome track, something we should cover with some band.
A.O.D - AnnO Domini - OsthroBotnia thrash from late 80's. Golden memories...

Ajattara - Tyhjyys Solid mid-paced intelligent blackness. I must admit I don't understand a word of the lyrics, but somehow that just adds to the feeling of pure venomous spite that is achieved! Helloween - Better Than Raw Don't know why the hell I dug this out, but I keep on listening to 'Midnight Sun' over and over. Savatage - Hall Of The Mountain King I love all Savatage, but for me this was the moment! Jon Oliva puts in one of my all-time fave vocal performances.

Phil Lynott's solo gig from Stockholm '83
This ain't even close to Thin Lizzy's magic but tho' Phil has lost his voice already he makes a helluva show!

Now playing: Armored Saint - March Of The Saint Surely this wins?! I prefer Delirous Nomad. Long Before I Die and especially Nervous Man are excellent tracks. But what do you think about Nod to the Old School? I bought it and I was extrelemely disappointed, maybe I expected too much

I bought it and I was extrelemely disappointed, maybe I expected too much You're dead right Delirous Nomad is way better. [Now playing 'Aftermath' ] I agree with you about Nod to the Old School, I thought I'd love it, but I've only played it a couple of times in 3 or 4 years! VERY disappointing . I bought the 3-disc remaster of Symbol Of Salvation and I love that! But I always thought that was their best work (alongside DN), so it's great to have it nicely re-mastered - plus all the original demos with Dave Pritchard's leads. Have you tried Revelation (2000)? That one I have to say is surprisingly good too. I had to work with it a bit, but it grew into a proper AS record after a few spins.

I think that I should give "Nod..." another chance sometime in the future. Have you tried Revelation (2000)? That one I have to say is surprisingly good too. I had to work with it a bit, but it grew into a proper AS record after a few spins. No/not yet. It the only Saint studioalbum missing (along with first EP). Actually I didn't know that they did that album, first noticed when I went to BnR Metal Pages. Maybe I'll buy it somewhere in future... NP. Sodom - Better off Dead - Well what can ya say, Sodom is...Thrash... Agent Steel - Skeptics Apocalypse - Some good tracks. Have anyone heard the "new" Agent Steel? With different vocalist?

Agent Steel - Skeptics Apocalypse - Some good tracks. Have anyone heard the "new" Agent Steel? With different vocalist? Another favourite! Omega Conspiracy (1999) was a fantastic comeback album, and Order Of The Illuminati (2003) is just as good, if not better! The overall sound is far meatier than the Skeptics/Mad Locust/Unstoppable Force era. (UF was always my favourite from those times). Vocalist Bruce Hall fits in great! He's got a slightly deranged sound like Jon Cyriis had - he can hit the notes and he does the business (takes a bit of getting used to, just like Cyriis, but it's worth the effort). The Bernie Versailles leads are as good as ever, and I think that the songs overall are stronger. Same sci-fi and conspiracy themes throughout. They've retained a certain crushing, pummelling vibe that makes them well worth checking out. Certainly no sell-out reunion! NP: Coroner - No More Color I just love Coroner, they're in my all-time top 3 bands ever. The structures of their songs still blow me away every time. Deathrow - Deception Ignored Always under-rated.

I have seen the first comeback album sold somewhere. Deathrow - Deception Ignored Always under-rated. Many have given good reviews about Deathrow. Are their albums re-released as cds?
