I'm not as computer nerd as Vessias but I play computer games to relax (just ask BigJohn, Gas and Huvi ;D ) I like 3d shooting games starting from Wolfenstein, Doom, Heretic & Blood through Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Call of Duty's and Medal Of Honour's.
I just finished playing Call Of Duty-Pacific Assault which was pure shit. I got fed up so much that I put god-mode on and just shot my way through. Right now I'm playing Half-Life2 which has been so far grrreat!
And of course Solitaire is the best!
What about you?

Half-Life 2 played through. Probably the best game I ever played. End was rather disapointing but anyway...
Zdoom or whatever its called. You can play Doom, Doom2, Heretic, Hexen with better picture quality etc. Excellent for refreshing the demon..
Return to the Castle Wolfenstein rules. After a couple years, great game.

The <www.ykkosbonus.fi> summerpuzzle.
-I was in TOP10 for a second once. -I didn't like it. I don't think you will either...

Nowadays been playing less than used to, but the last game that really forced me to sit by my comp all night long was Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. Civilization meets science fiction.

It must have been a year ago or so when PS2 Final Fantasy XII was released and of course as a FF fan I had to have it immediately. I watched the nice intro sequence and never touched it since. That's because games like this needs thinking and remembering of things and that's simply too much after long working hours. On PS3 I tried out Assassin's Creed at it's release day for few hours but mostly I like to play short sessions every now and then and thus haven't played it ever since. That's once again because of it's complex in story which I cannot even recall anymore... something to do with present time and events happened thousand years ago. Maybe one day I will continue this as it felt quite interesting... Ever since I've been mostly playing Call Of Duty 4 on PS3 sometimes but still quite rarely. Compared to CoD3 this is awesome and somehow more interesting like CoD2 was at the time. Yesterday I was so tired that almost slept at work in the evening but then decided to hurry to a local store right at it's closing time 8:56pm to buy the same day released Grand Theft Auto 4. After getting home very tired did I go to sleep? Hell no! Instead I played the GTA4 till 3am and slept late till noon. It's great to have sliding working hours. ps. Can you really say 'sliding working hours' in English? pps. On the other hand at the moment it's 4am and I'm still working... wait... I should be working ... but somehow I find myself spending hours in writing this nonsense stuff into the SM forum .

It should be more like "wash and go", or more like "fight and kill instantly". Personally I have not played computer games in years. Like ten years ago I played tank game (was is called M1A Abrahams or something like that) and of course Wolfenstein 2 PS3 is good also for blue ray movies 3 It should mandatory to write SM-forum when working and you should also have some extra bonus. ;D

Do you know good games featuring tankbattles in WW2? Sure, bzflags ... www.bzflag.org/screenshots...or not. In case you are fond of some serious tank simulations then this site should give you a hard on ... www.tanksim.comI've read of a three year old game called Steel Beasts PRO which is primarily used for real military training. There is a Personal Edition available directly (and only) from the manufacturer's website. You cannot buy it from store shelves nor other e-shops. Pricing is/was also pretty high $125. Good point is that the developers still might be adding features and fixes (last patch seems to be at December 2007) and good reason to continue doing so is because of the military needs. The upcoming 'sequel' Steel Beasts II has even better graphics but does not contain all the realism features of the Steel Beasts PRO as it is more targetted to a wider audience than to real simulator fans. You can read more info about the game from this very interesting review (select Steel Beasts Pro PE from the left side of the page).... www.tanksim.com/review.htmManufacturer's site. Here is also the online store so before entering first go fetch your Visa card before you start worring about the money too much ... www.esimgames.comThere seems to be very active official fan site too... www.steelbeasts.comIn case money isn't an object I guess this game is what you are looking for. But thats it for not reading the manuals as probably one can't cope without them with this kind of beast .

But more than that PS3 has great image scaler quality for upscaling DVDs to a Full-HD display. On some magazine reviews I've read lately it's been said that PS3 scaler kicks some external 1000eur HiFi scaling device's ass hands down. PS3 is also worth every penny as my cheapoh Mirai Full-HD TV set has probably the worst internal scaler ever built. Probably best reason having this (previous generation) Mirai TV is it's lacking of a digital receiver. So in legal point of view I dont have to pay fees anymore for owning a TV tuner for channels I wouldn't watch anyway. Any day I choose to change my mind there are always external digital receivers with vast amount of features compared to any internal receiver today. ps. Probably the only missing feature in PS3 DVD player is region code freedomness. There are no known working modchips, cracks or any other workarounds to change the DVD (nor Blu-Ray) region code. Also, constant system upgrades makes hacking even harder.

Few days ago I tested demo version of Battle Field: Bad Company on PS3 and the graphics are ok but the controls sucked as during an hour of playing the aiming felt too inaccurate for some reason... it could be that the screen refresh rate was a tiny little bit too slow for FPS style game. Multiplayer has a new kind of capture-the-flag mode but I didnt like it too much neither. I'd say Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and GRAW II are a lot better shooters.
I also almost tried to start playing the Final Fantasy XII PS2 game but fell asleep during the long intro sequence and when woke up I noticed an annoying detail in the game controls. In most games when using PS3 analog controller you walk left when you turn the analog movement stick to left and walk right when you turn the analog movement stick to right. That's how it works in FF12 too... BUT... in most other games also when you turn analog looking stick to left your view turns to left, but what the hell could have been in the developers' minds to make FF12 view turn to RIGHT in that case??? This almost ruins the whole gaming experience because when you see something interesting (like an enemy) on the left you intuitively turn the looking stick to left to take a better look. This feels like learning to drive a car of which front wheels turn to left when you turn the steering wheel right.

Call Of Duty 6: Modern Warfare II (PS3-version) Played single player campaign for couple of hours, it was great (The "No Russia" was one of the most memorable moments in FPS gaming, ever! ) but then I got so addicted to multiplayer matches that I dont even have any spare time to watch any new movies or series .
